Tax Intern Wanted – Winter/Spring 2023

Looking for an internship where you'll get exposure to all sorts of accounting and tax preparation? A small full-service public accounting firm based in Malvern, PA is looking for an accounting major who is detail-oriented, focused, and is driven to learn about accounting and taxes. The internship will start in early January and run through April 17th. Hours are flexible but we are looking for a minimum of 30 hours per week. More hours are welcome if scheduling permits for the candidate. In the event of overtime, hourly rates will be paid at time and a half. Office hours can be spread out from Monday through Saturday.

Description:

·         Preparation of individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns

·         Preparation of tax workpapers in excel

·         Assistance in processing outgoing tax returns

·         Monthly accounting and bank reconciliations

·         Supporting the accounting and administrative team

Qualifications:

·         Must be enrolled in a college or university and pursuing a degree in accounting

·         Must have already taken a tax course as part of their undergraduate program

·         Preferred GPA of a 3.0 or above

·         Preferred prior tax internship experience

·         Proficient in Microsoft Excel and any tax software experience is a plus

·         Demonstrates exceptional time management, communication, and critical thinking skills
